History and Legacy of JCOET

Jagadambha Bahuuddeshiya Gramin Vikas Sanstha (JBGVS) was established in 2003 by the visionary Dr. Shittal A. Watile, a renowned educationist. The organization was founded with the aim of providing quality professional education and meeting the rising expectations of both the industry and young students in the region and surrounding areas.

Jagadambha College of Engineering & Technology, Yavatmal, was founded by JBGVS on an 11-acre campus along the Nagpur-Tuljapur Highway, just 5 km from the Yavatmal Bus Stand. The institute is situated in a calm and peaceful area, making it an ideal site for teaching and learning. It operates with the approval of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Government of Maharashtra, affiliated with Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati.

The college began operations in the AY 2009-10 with Four Under Graduate Programme B.E. in Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, a total intake of 240 students. Introduce another Under Graduate Programme B.E. in Electrical Engineering from the AY 2010-11. In the academic year 2013-14, the institute introduced four M.E. courses: Mechanical CAD-CAM, Computer Science & Engineering, Structural Engineering, and Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, with a total intake of 72 students. This expansion has resulted in the highest intake among all engineering colleges in Yavatmal City in a short span of time.

Currently, the college has an intake of 330 students across five core branches of Engineering at the Under Graduate level with 02 university recognized Research Lab in the Faculty of Science and Technology for the Subject Electronics Engineering and Electrical Engineering. Jagadambha College of Engineering & Technology, Yavatmal, is steadily progressing towards achieving excellence in the field of Engineering and Technology.
